This episode is also a perfect example of how the brain reacts to stress, especially around sleep. As we mentioned in the episode, a lot of stress comes from the “fight-or-flight” response that is triggered by things like being scared, running away from predators, or getting into unnecessary trouble. This response can also be triggered by things like being cold or exposed to a lot of bright light.
Like many people, I tend not to think deeply about things unless I’m really frightened. However, when I’m in the middle of something, as the episode showed, the fight-or-flight response kicks into high gear, which can make me feel stressed. This is why I usually take a break from watching TV in the middle of the day.
It’s true that the ken burns effect is triggered more often when I’m scared than when I’m not. But the problem is that when you’re scared, you’re actually more stressed. A lot of stress is simply about not knowing what you already know. The problem is that you don’t know what you don’t know.
For me, that’s the key. Because when youre not sure, you can’t be sure, so you don’t know. When you’re unsure, you can’t be sure. What you do know can be wrong, so you don’t know. Thats why I take a break from television.
So to be clear, Im not saying that you should stop watching television. I am saying that when youre on vacation, you should do what you are on vacation for. Sure that you have the greatest vacation in the world, but if you take a break from television, you are probably not going to remember the vacation.
Well, yeah. But what is the point? If you are taking a vacation and you still cant remember the vacation, and youre still not sure or youre not thinking about taking a vacation, is it really worth it? I know that many of our readers will tell us that we are just fooling ourselves, but I think most of us have noticed that just about everyone in the world is on the Internet somewhere.
But not all of us. It’s just like most of the people out there are playing some sort of video game, and they are playing it so that they can be entertained.
