I’ve been reading The Three Levels of Self-Awareness Awakening to Awareness, Presence, and the Higher Self since I was a kid, but as my years in Silicon Valley have put me in touch with the people and events that have shaped my life and beliefs, I have since found myself to be more than just a reader.
Ive always had a great love for self-awareness, and the more I learn, the more I’m convinced that it’s one of the most important tools we have to create greater alignment in our lives. Self-awareness is one of the most important tools we have for controlling our emotions, and it’s one that I’ve found to be a real boon to my own personal growth as well as that of my family.
My father was a successful entrepreneur and developer, and my mother a nurse. As a child, I was always fascinated by the ways that people’s lives and their beliefs were shaped by things that happened to them. I had never quite understood how and why people become so much more than they are, or why they choose to give in to things that they know are wrong.
I think most people who get lost in this kind of thinking are in their teens or twenties. That’s when they find out that they have emotions. When you’re young, you have a lot of questions. You want to know everything, so you spend a lot of time researching. And then you hit a point where you stop caring about the things you were researching and start caring about the things you were learning.
It’s a lot like the life of a teen or young adult, only instead of going to school you’re on a beach. The things you wanted to know about your life had been hidden from you and you just didn’t know it. You were lost, and you needed to find someone to help you find yourself.
I’ve never been a particularly interested person in any of the things I’ve studied, so I’m not sure if I would consider myself “lost” in the sense that I was looking for someone to help me find myself or if I am merely going through a phase. But I do feel that maybe I will never be able to find a true sense of self. I feel that I have lost the part of myself that is truly me.
Im not sure if just being lost really counts as a phase, but I know from my personal experience that being lost is one of the most intense phases of my life. It’s the part of me that I spent the best time with, and the part of me that I want to spend the rest of my life trying to recover from. I still feel that I have some of that part of me still left.
I’m going to be frank. I’m not sure if I’m a phase or a phase. I just know that I need to regain a part of myself. I’m not sure what kind of phase I’m in, but for sure you’re not going to see me in a phase. But I have a sense that there has to be a phase.
That’s the best way I can describe it. I had a great time with Lost. I loved it. I would give anything to be able to go back to it right now.
